Does MTN Business offer an SLA on its ADSL and 3G services ?
No, because there is a 3rd party network involved which is not maintained by MTN Business we cannot offer SLA’s on these services.
Can I order Ad-Hoc bundles over an extended contract period, eg: 12 months or 24 months.
No, as the term Ad-Hoc implies this needs to be done as required or on a monthly basis.
Why does the MTN Business ADSL pricing seem higher than other providers ?
You need to compare apples to apples, many of the ADSL providers offer ADSL services that are shaped or have FUP’s (fair usage policies) in place or high contention ratios on the networks. MTN Business offers a low contention ration premium ADSL service with high throughput and phenomenal transfers speeds.
Isn’t a virtual server far more vulnerable than an incumbent server?
On the contrary, all settings, data sets and configurations for a virtual server are stored in a file that are not reliant on underlying hardware. It has its own dedicated allocation of system resources; is completely separate from other virtual servers and is fully disaster recoverable. In addition, the infrastructure has no single point of failures as it comprises of multiple hosts, multiple IO paths for both storage and network traffic; multiple storage nodes and multiple network switches. Thus, MTN Server Virtualisation enables high performance, optimum flexibility and enhanced security.
Does MTN Server Virtualisation accommodate a company’s existing Universal License Agreements with software vendors?
No, these agreements cannot be used in place of the software services included in the MTN Server Virtualisation solutions.
Does MTN Business offer any services for e-mail continuity and e-mail archiving?
Yes. MTN Managed Internet Managed Scanning provides three service options- Basic, Advanced and Premium. The Premium service option includes e-mail continuity, data leak protection, e-mail branding and forensic archiving.
Does MTN Managed Firewall offer clients a choice of firewall solutions?
Yes. MTN Managed Firewall currently offers virtual and dedicated firewall platforms using leading-edge up-to-date technologies such as Cisco ASA 5500 Series, Juniper ISG Series and Alcatel-Lucent VPN Series.
Does MTN Managed IP PBX rely on any other MTN Business services?
Yes. In order to deploy MTN Managed IP PBX, clients need an existing MTN Business Access service such as MTN Internet Dedicated, MTN MPLS-VPN or certain of the MTN Remote Access services.
Can we keep our existing telephone numbers if we make the transition to MTN UniPresence?
Yes. MTN UniPresence customers can retain their existing telephone numbers; and they have the option of using 087 numbers.
